Small Angle Pole for Rural Electrification Using SWER

The pole top arrangement depicted can be used for small changes in line angle, with the conductor bound in on one side of the insulator.

The change in line angle that can be tolerated will depend on the type of conductor used and the external parameters such as wind pressure acting on the conductor, conductor tension span length, insulator cantilever strength etc.

Once all the parameters are known the maximum line angle that can be tolerated is easily calculated.
